Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a world-wide program that helps people like us deal with life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Founded at Saddleback Church in 1991 by Pastor John & Cheryl Baker, this program offers hope and help as a 12-step, bible based and Christ-centered recovery program.

Don't let the word "recovery" keep you from attending - 1 out of 3 attendees who participate in C/R are dealing with chemical addictions. The other 2/3 are dealing with things like childhood trauma, co-dependency, shame, anger, mental health struggles, survivors of abuse, and more. C/R is for everyone, and offers a safe and confidential place to take your next healthy step.

Pastor James is our Wisconsin state rep, and has been involved with C/R since 2014.

Our meeting location is at Trinity Lutheran Church - 330 S Broadway. For as much as we adore our space at CRE8, we are not setup to accommodate the privacy needed for each small group. So our friends at Trinity have partnered with us to host our Celebrate Recovery! We meet every Monday night*, including holidays!

Large Group

At 6p we begin our program with Large Group. This is when we plug in through worship, followed by either a teaching or testimony (recovery story).

Open Share Groups

From 7-8p we offer gender specific open share groups. When you attend C/R for the first time, you'll be in our "newcomers" group. After that, you'll join one of our groups (addictions, mixed issues). You'll love the honesty in sharing as we hold tightly to the C/R guidelines, and can share your story when you're ready!

Meal

At 8p we offer a free meal! At CRE8, hospitality is a core value of how we share and show God's love. So you'll enjoy our variety of food weekly including healthy options!

After you've been attending awhile (typically 3-6 months), you may want to dig deeper into the root causes of your recovery. The 12-step study will help you uncover the "why" of what it is that kept you stuck so long. These groups are offered on different day and time than our Monday night meetings. They are also gender specific, and follow all guidelines.
